QUICK START CHECKLIST

Start strong with these simple steps:

  1. Schedule your Foundations session. Your intro to how we train at EurekaFit — the perfect way to learn the ropes before jumping into classes.

  2. Download the Wodify App (Apple or Android) Reserve classes, track workouts, access programming, and manage your membership.

  3. Update your profile. Add your payment info, photo, and notification preferences.

  4. Reserve your first class! Show up, meet your coach, and we’ll guide you from there.


WHAT TO EXPECT IN CLASS

Walking in for the first time can feel intimidating — so here’s exactly what happens:

  • Warm-Up: Coach-led, simple, and designed to get you moving safely.

  • Skill or Strength Work: Learn technique, build confidence, and progress at your pace.

  • Workout of the Day (WOD): Scaled for every fitness level — you’ll work hard, but never alone.

  • Cooldown & High-Fives: Celebrate the work you put in.

HOW SCALING WORKS

You Don’t Need to Be Fit to Start

Every movement can be modified — lighter weights, different variations, more rest, or alternative exercises. Scaling keeps you safe and confident while still getting the intended stimulus of the workout.

RECOMMENDED (BUT NOT REQUIRED) GEAR

Start With the Basics — Add as You Go

You don’t need anything special to begin. But here are items many members love:

  • Flat, stable training shoes (ideally not typical running shoes). So many to choose from! lots of styles, fits, and colors for personal preference but popular brands to look at RAD Global, Reebok Nano, Nike Metcon, TYR Trainers, No Bull Trainers, and many more. Ask around! These are options that are suited for our training and all-purpose in weightlifting, jumping, light running, and even climbing ropes.

  • Water bottle

  • Personal jump rope but there are lots of brands to choose from for personal preference. We have some communal ropes at the gym.

  • Optional: Gymnastics grips, Knee sleeves, Wrist wraps, Sweat Bands.

Friendly reminder: none of this is required to start. Just show up.

How to Enter the Gym After Hours

  • If the parking spaces are full in front of the building there is a big public lot about 100 meters to the north by the train tracks.

  • Cameras are monitoring the premises

  • Stay safe and respect the space

  • Review the Open Gym rules, or ask questions.

Answers to the Questions You’re Too Shy to Ask

Do I need to be fit to start? No. We can scale and modify everything.

What should I bring? Water, comfortable clothes, and a good attitude.

Will I feel out of place? No — our community is built for beginners and everyday people.

What if I’m sore? Totally normal. Your Member Guide includes a full section on soreness and recovery but movement is medicine. Let us help.
